Catalogue No. 2192
This is a mid 19th century (c.1850) mahogany bow fronted chest of two short and three long drawers. The chest stands on it's original turned feet that terminate in boxwood wheeled castors. The drawer fronts exhibit a good grain pattern and retain their original turned mahogany knob handles. The drawer linings are constructed in oak and are exceptionally clean internally. The top is made from a single piece of solid mahogany (normally on a chest of this period the top would be veneered). The chest is in very good clean original condition. There are a few old marks and blemishes commensurate with age and usage.
